Putnam Center Demolished

Demolition of the Putnam Center was completed in the month of Novemever, Wrecking crews made quick work of the familiar radial structure, which was quickly reduced to a pile of rubble. The building was demolished in order to make way for the new Learning Resource Center.

Building Panel Repair Connection Bid Walk

At the January 17, 2007 meeting of the Board of Trustees, the Rio Hondo College Program Management Team reported that the bidding and approval process is in full swing. The Central Plant project is ready to go to bid, pending the anticipated approval from Department of the State Architect (DSA) in the near future. There are many jobs that have gone out to bid including: Maintenance-Phase 1, Rio Hondo Parkway-Phase 1, The Regional Public Safety Training Center-Phase II, and Building Panel Connection Repair. Soil Sample taken for the Administration of Justice Building

Rio Hondo College has been working with the Department of the State Architect (DSA) for several months to have the plans for the flagship Library/Learning Resource Center building approved. On January 30, 2007, that approval became official. With the go ahead from DSA, the LRC will rise up and take its place as the inaugural building in the Building Access and Excellence building program.
